Southeast Shreveport shoppers have been asking for it for quite some time. Now the city council has taken a major step toward making it happen. "it" is a vehicle and pedestrian cross-over between Sam's Club and the Target/University Place shopping complex. Under terms of the agreement, the city will be responsible for one-quarter of the estimated $40-thousand cost of the project and for major repairs to the cross-over. The remainder of the cost and day-by-day upkeep of the cross-over will be the shared responsibility of Sam's Club, Target, and the developers of the University Place shopping complex.
