ORIGINAL STORY: Just after 10am this morning, Shreveport Police were called to the scene of a shooting on West 70th. At least 20 units have responded to the location on West 70th, between Burlingame Blvd & Union Ave. Early reports say a juvenile was shot at that location.
Shreveport Police say that a car chase then started with the suspects, and led into Bossier Parish. The suspects vehicle crashed at the intersection of Viking Drive and Benton Road. Police say that one of the suspects fired a shot at that point, but its unclear if the shot was at officers, or what the intent was.
Due to the police chase, and shots fired, two Bossier Parish schools were placed into lockdown. Bossier Parish Schools tell us both Apollo Elementary and Airline High School were placed into "restrictive movement" due to the proximity of the incident to the schools. They were lifted out of the lockdown before 11am.
At this time, we're being told the suspects were taken into custody at the scene. The shooting victims condition is currently being reported as "life threatening".
