Shreveport Police Respond to Shooting in Broadmoor
Around 4P on Thursday afternoon about 15 Shreveport Police units responded to a shooting call in the 3800 block of Greenway Place in the Broadmoor neighborhood. Shreveport officers found a man that had been shot multiple times.
Officers called Detectives from the Shreveport Violent Crimes Unit who determined that an armed man came to the house on Greenway Place where his ex-girlfriend lives. The armed man then got into a fight with the woman's current boyfriend. That fight escalated into gunfire from both men.
During the gunfire, the ex-boyfriend was struck several times and was transported to a local hospital where he is suffering from what is being described as "life-threatening injuries."
Shreveport police currently have identified both of those involved, and they are being detained pending further investigation. Detectives are still working to figure out exactly what happened that led to the shooting.
Shreveport police officials say arrests are likely to be made once appropriate charges have been determined.
The investigation is still active, and more information will be provided as it's available.
