Scary Fire In Shreveport Thursday Night

A mother and 4 children are safe after escaping a fire at their home Thursday night. The blaze started around 7 pm at the Barton Drive Manor Apartments. 8 units and 22 firefighters showed up to battle the fire.

The woman told fire officials that she and her children were alerted by smoke detectors and were able to escape. The duplex sustained heavy damage but luckily no injuries were reported.
