Saints Coach Sean Payton Suspends His Wife Indefinitely

It stinks to be Sean Payton right about now. Aside from getting a suspension handed down to him from Roger Goodell, without pay, for his role in "bountygate", Payton has another issue to deal with.

After 19 years of marriage, Sean Payton has put his wife, Beth Payton, on the bench and essentially suspended her from his life, after filing for D-I-V-O-R-C-E.

According to a report filed in a Tarrant County, Texas on June 14th, the reason for the sudden divorce is "discord or conflict of personalities between Petitioner and Respondent that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation"

In English, they just couldn't stand each other!

Sean Payton, who will evidently have to find other means of work, as he is not getting paid for his time off, will not be getting off free. His now ex-wife Beth requests that Sean pay child support and cover the medical expenses.

In 9 days, the Paytons' would have celebrated their 20th anniversary.
