On April 7th, 2023, at 1:20 p.m. a Shreveport Police officer working security at a local financial institution in the 500 block of Market Street observed an interaction occurring at an ATM located outside of this location.

As the officer walked toward two men at the ATM, he found that a male was soliciting money from a man using the ATM.

The officer took quick action as the suspect began to remove a knife from behind his back. The suspect was taken into custody and identified as Jon Gonzalez (5-10-00).

Gonzales was arrested for one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
