Road Resurfacing Project To Kick Off Soon In Shreveport

A big road resurfacing project is set to kick off Monday near downtown Shreveport. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development says you should expect lane closures along Texas Street, from the Texas Street Bridge to Hearne Avenue, while the project is going on. Crews will be doing the work from the bridge to Common street between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

There will be no parking in that area between 5 p.m. and 6 a.m.. Work from Common Street to Hearne Avenue will be done in the daytime and nighttime. As long as the weather holds up, it should take about two months to finish the project.
