Shreveport Alert: Police Hunting Two Non-Compliant Sex Offenders
Shreveport Police Search for Non-Compliant Sex Offenders
The Shreveport Police Department is actively looking for two convicted sex offenders who haven't met their annual registration obligations. This is a direct violation of Louisiana Revised Statute 15:542, which outlines the requirements for the registration of sex offenders and child predators. The department emphasizes that upholding these registration laws is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
Steven Edward Woods Sr.
Steven Edward Woods Sr. has failed to complete his 2025 annual sex offender registration with the Shreveport Police Department. Woods has a prior conviction for Intentional Exposure to AIDS. He also has a history of non-compliance, with three previous convictions for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Due to his ongoing failure to comply, an arrest warrant has been issued for him.
Waynon Gerald Boatwin
Authorities are also seeking Waynon Gerald Boatwin, born March 14, 1956. Boatwin has failed to pay his required 2025 sex offender registration fee. He was previously convicted of Sexual Battery and has four prior convictions for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Like Woods, an arrest warrant has been signed for Boatwin.
