Report: Body In Lake Bistineau Could Be Gang-Related Killing
A body was discovered Sunday in Lake Bistineau, and police already have an idea of how the body got there.
The body was found by a fisherman on Sunday, near the Highway 154 bridge, partially submerged in the water. The body was described by investigators as a heavily tattooed male in his mid-20s, who was found only wearing shorts and socks. Investigators say the man had been shot multiple times.
According to a new report from KTBS, police believe this was a gang related killing.
The report says they believe this gang related killing likely took place somewhere else. They believe the man was shot at another location, then transported to the Highway 154 bridge, where he was pushed off. Reportedly there was blood on the bridge where it appears the body may have been pushed over.
The victims body was sent to Little Rock, Arkansas for an autopsy.
Multiple organizations assisted in the recovery of the body, including the Bienville Parish Sheriff's Office, the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office, and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. The ongoing investigation is being led by the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office and the Shreveport Police Department.
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
