Renovations Begin at Airport

The start of a new year marks the start of a couple of big renovation projects at Shreveport Regional Airport. When you go to the airport -- and you take the stairs or elevator up to the second level -- there's a big restaurant in front of you. Well, work started this week to completely remodel that restaurant. Tailwind Deli News and Gifts has already opened two smaller restaurants -- one in each concourse. Now it's started work on the main restaurant -- which should be finished around March first. In the meantime, another big renovation project is about to start. All of the carpeting in the screening areas that lead to the concourses will be ripped out and replaced with laminate hardwood flooring. That should only take a couple of weeks. Later this year, the flooring in both concourses will also be replaced.
