Shreveport Police Crack Down on Prostitution and Obscenity: 6 Arrested

Shreveport Police were busy over the long holiday weekend battling not only squatters and DWI's, but also fighting sex-related crimes.  Historically, efforts like those this past weekend lead to multiple arrests of individuals involved in prostitution and sex-crime charges, and can often lead to human trafficking and other forms of exploitation charges.

Here are those arrested recently

Charity Green, arrested on May 22 for one count of prostitution and one count of drug possession.

Ashley Grumm, arrested on May 22 for one count of prostitution, resisting an officer, and multiple outstanding warrants.

Latanya Martin, arrested on May 23 for two counts of prostitution and one outstanding fugitive warrant.

Don Roarke, arrested on May 21 for one count of obscenity.

Brittany Sanders, arrested on May 22 for one count of prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Miguel Zeledon, arrested on May 21 for one count of obscenity and resisting an officer.

The Shreveport Police issued a statement saying:  The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to disrupting these criminal networks. Sex-related crimes often serve as a conduit for more serious offenses, including drug trafficking, violence, and human exploitation.

Our mission is to protect the vulnerable and ensure the safety of our community. The Vice Unit will continue to aggressively pursue those who exploit others and contribute to this dangerous cycle of criminal activity.
