President Obama Signs Disaster Declaration For Louisiana

Sunday, President Barack Obama signed a Disaster Declaration for Louisiana. He also ordered federal aid to supplement state and local recovery efforts. Some of the assistance offered include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low cost loans to cover uninsured property loss and more.

Currently, the parishes eligible for assistance are Bossier, Claiborne, Grant, Morehouse, Richland, Webster and Ouachita with more expected to be added to the list by FEMA soon.
