Police had a very interesting story to tell WAFB from this weekend. The TV station reports that West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Deputies arrested an Ascension Parish man on Sunday June 12th after an altercation at a gas station.

The incident happened when deputies were called to the Tiger Trax store in Erwinville late Sunday night. The report says witnesses called authorities when 50-year-old Joel Shane Pennington jumped out of a car, while possibly being naked, and ran into the store. Police say that's where the suspect defecated.

Pennington is also accused of attacking an employee and a customer inside the store. Witnesses say Pennington was then forced out, where deputies made contact with him.

WAFB says deputies used a taser on the nude suspect, striking him in the chest and the groin. But Pennington was able to remove one of the probes from his groin, and began slamming his body into the ground. Eventually deputies were able to handcuff the suspect.

After the struggle, and Pennington was taken into custody, WAFB reports the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office says the suspect will be charged with at least 5 charges, including a Felony. They say he will be charged with one felony count of Obscenity, one count of Resisting an Officer, three counts of Simple Assault, and one count of Simple Criminal Damage to Property.
