Police Investigating Two Armed Robberies At Wireless Stores
Detectives with the Shreveport Police are busy piecing together evidence from two separate armed robberies that occurred at wireless stores on Monday.
The first robbery happened around 11:00 AM at the Meemos Wireless store located in the 800 block of West 70th Street. Witnesses say a masked man entered the business armed with a firearm. The man reportedly carried a green colored camouflage bag with him and demanded employees fill the bag with cell phones.
Following the orders of the robber, employees provided the man with multiple cell phones from the store’s display cases. The gunman then ran from the store, and while doing so, fired a shot at store employees who attempted to follow the man. One employee of the business did return fire at the suspect, missing him. There were no reports of injury.
The second one happened shortly before 8:30 PM at the Metro PCS store located in the 200 block of East 70th Street.
According to authorities, a masked man entered the business armed with a firearm and demanded employees fill a bag with money. Following the heist, the gunman ran from the store and was last seen getting into the passenger side of a grey colored car. No employees were injured during the ordeal.
