During the month of October, 26 homes in District 5 have been broken into while there have been 34 reports of items stolen out of cars. In many of those cases, the cars were left unlocked. Police urge residents to lock your cars at all times. They are also asking residents to check video surveillance footage from the past week to see if you see anything suspicious that could help solve some of these crimes.

The Shreveport Police Department Won't Be Responding To These Calls Anymore
