Police Investigating Overnight Homicide
Shreveport Police Homicide investigators have an investigation underway into the murder of man in west Shreveport last night.
On November 25, 2020, just after 8:00 p.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers responded the 4800 block of Powell Street on reports of a shooting. Arriving officers located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot injuries. Shreveport Fire department pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
Homicide and Crime Scene Investigators were summoned. Crime Scene Investigators gathered evidence and members of the homicide unit canvassed the neighborhood and interviewed witnesses. Audre Demound Gage, 39, was shot multiple times at his residence in the 4100 block of Powell Street, four blocks south of Hollywood Avenue and just west of Broadway Avenue. Through interviews, detectives learned that an unknown male knocked on the door of the victim’s residence and requested to speak to the victim. The victim stepped out of the house and moments later witnesses heard several gunshots. Family members of the decedent exited the home and located him.
