The peanut butter covered by this recall was sold across the country and includes many types of the product including smooth and crunchy. The recall also includes reduced fat and natural varieties. The recall also includes peanut butter “to-go” packs and the squeeze pouch.
The Food and Drug Administration says the recalled peanut butter has the codes 1274425 – 2140425. You will find the lot codes next to the “best-if-used-by” date.
The FDA defines salmonella as “an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.”
If you have products matching these codes, you should get rid of it immediately.
The products that are included in this recall are both creamy and crunchy peanut butter, peanut butter to-go packs, and the natural squeeze pouch.
