SHREVEPORT, La. (Centenary News Service) -- Escaped Images, the dance ensemble of the Theatre and Dance department will present the original ballet Excavating Self, February 25 and 26 at the Marjorie Lyons Playhouse beginning at 7 p.m. Escaped Images has taken on this type of performance.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Marjorie Lyons Playhouse box office, and cost $15 for adults; $12 for military and seniors; $10 for students; and free for Centenary students, staff and faculty members.

This "modern ballet" tells the story of the women of the company and their struggle to find what they’re looking for in the contemporary society they find themselves living in today. The narrative was written by artistic director Renee Cheveallier and members of the dance company.

Written and choreographed by the dance company, this ballet will be preformed to music composed by Centenary College senior, Costas Dafnis. It will mark the first time
