A Shreveport favorite has announced they'll be shutting their doors for good this week... Although, this is not the end for Ono's.

When it comes to authentic Hawaiian food in Shreveport-Bossier, there has only been one option. The incredible and beloved Ono's Hawaiian Grill on Fern Ave in Shreveport. What started as an immensely popular local food truck blossomed into a beautiful brick-and-mortar that our community enjoyed since it's opening in April of last year.

Back in 2016, Ono's Hawaiian Food Truck arrived onto the scene, with hopes to one day open their doors as a traditional restaurant as well. That day came three years later, and at the time, owner Sione Maumalanga said, "We want to make sure it’s a restaurant that’ll last 20 years".

Today, the restaurant announced it's last day will be this Sunday, February 23rd, closing down for good at 2:00 PM.

Luckily for our community, this is not a goodbye, it sounds like a "see you later". In Ono's Facebook post, they announced plans to hit the streets soon in a "brand new, state of the art food truck."

If you have time this week, make sure you swing by Ono's on Fern one last time.
