One Treated for Smoke Inhalation Following Shreveport House Fire
Shreveport, LA – Monday, September 9, 2024, the Shreveport Fire Department (SFD) responded to the 4600 block of Bullen St for a fire initially reported as a grass fire at 5:06 AM.
Upon arrival at 5:14 AM, the first responding unit, SFD Engine 16, reported a fully involved structure fire at a residence. A total of eight units, including twenty-four firefighters and support personnel, worked to bring the fire under control by 5:39 AM.
One resident escaped the flames and was treated on the scene for minor smoke inhalation. The individual was later transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
