A Shreveport man has been arrested following a Thanksgiving morning stabbing. It happened at around 8 a.m. in the 200 block of W. 79th Street.

That's where police found 32-year-old Lorenzo Lewis suffering from a laceration to the upper body. He was taken to University Health with a possibly life-threatening wound.

Investigators have discovered that Lewis and a man he knows, identified as 55-year-old Dwayne Goins, were involved in a dispute, during which Goins pulled a knife and stabbed Lewis, then ran off.

Patrol officers were able to locate Goins nearby. He was taken to the Shreveport City Jail and charged with one count of attempted second-degree murder. Lewis continues to recover, and is listed in stable condition.
