One of the top economic development officials who's been working to find a new tenant for the GM plant is leaving. North Louisiana Economic Partnership President Kurt Foreman heads north in mid-September to become Executive Vice President of Economic Development at the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce. Foreman has been in Shreveport since 2004 and has served as president of the regional economic development group since July of 2009. Under Foreman's watch, the economic partnership worked with local and state officials to help recruit Ronpak's corporate headquarters to the Caddo-Bossier Port and had a hand in numerous other economic development projects.
