My Bow Lesson With World Champion Archer Joella Bates [VIDEO]

A fun time was had by all at the Louisiana Powersports Sportsman's Expo at the Shreveport Convention Center. On day one, I got the opportunity to get bow-shooting pointers from five-time World Champion Archer Joella Bates.

Bates was an awesome teacher, and I think her lesson paid off. So, am I an expert archer? Hardly! But I can tell you I hit the target every time and did not wound anybody with an arrow.

I did, however, snap the side of my arm a couple of times with the bow string. It's a little bruised still, but I'll be fine.

It was also very cool getting to chat with the cast of CMT's "My Big Redneck Vacation" and grab a quick photo op with the guys from "Swamp People."
