More Dining Options Coming To Shreveport Regional Airport
Beginning bright and early at 4:30 am Wednesday morning, November 2nd, passengers at Shreveport Regional Airport will be greeted by brand new, totally remodeled restaurant spaces on each concourse at the airport. The $500,000 renovation inside the airport concourse restaurant areas began earlier this month by Tailwind Deli, News and Gifts, from Wilmington, North Carolina. They are in six other airports around the country.
Customers will notice an all-new full service food menu as well as grab-and-go selections. Menu items include made-fresh breakfast burritos, grilled chicken paninis, grilled chicken quesadillas, and their new Jetstream Burger Bar concept. The build-it-yourself signature burgers have multiple toppings allowing customers to create the perfect burger. Tailwind will also offer its in-house brand, Co-Pilot Coffee, featuring fresh roasted coffee beans from the mountains of Colorado.
“Tailwind is a welcome addition to our airport and community,” said Shreveport Airport Authority Chairman Keith Gamble. “We look forward to their service and are certain our visitors and passengers will welcome the change and quality they will bring.”
Restaurant service at Shreveport Regional Airport will be closed on Tuesday, November 1st in preparation for Tailwind’s opening on Wednesday, November 2nd. However, complimentary coffee will be offered on Tuesday, November 1st on each of the concourses. There will also be vending services available in the concourse areas during this time. The remodeled pre-security restaurant and gift shop is scheduled to open later this winter.
“We’re excited to establish our product here in Shreveport and hope customers at the airport will be just as happy to see what we have to offer,” said Jess Backhaus, of Tailwind Deli News and Gifts Inc. “I’m sure our burger bar, cappuccinos, breakfast menu and other specialties will be a hit with the community. We encourage everyone to come see the changes we’ve made and give us a taste.”
