Mooringsport Man Gets 90 Years for Sexual Assault of a Juvenile
A Mooringsport man was found guilty in Caddo District Court of sexual battery.
52 year-old Anthony Hollis went to court accused of sexually assaulting a teenage boy from 2020 to 2022. Hollis was arrested in 2023 after the 13 year-old victim told a friend of his family that Hollis ordered the boy to perform sex acts on him as well as groping him in the shower. Hollis went on to tell the child not to tell anyone what happened to him.
The Judge, taking the severity of the assault in to account, sentenced Hollis to 90 years in prison at hard labor with no benefit of probation, parole, or suspension. If Hollis is ever released from prison, he must register as a sex offender for life.
Sex crimes involving juvenile victims is a serious matter. These types of assaults have lasting and damaging impacts on children and their families. Lengthy sentences with hard labor is an appropriate response for these types of despicable crimes.
