A man wanted for capital murder in Bedford, Texas, has been arrested in southeast Shreveport.

Police Corporal Marcus Hines says Shreveport detectives got a call late last night from their Bedford counterparts.  They'd received word that a man wanted there had possibly been spotted here.  Shreveport detectives then notified the United States Marshal's Fugitive Task Force and asked for assistance.

An investigation by both agencies led authorities to the Wal-Mart Super Center in the 1600 block of East Bert Kouns.  There, in the parking lot, they found 26-year-old Robert Atlas. He was sleeping inside his 2011 Dodge Charges and was arrested without incident.  He was then booked into Caddo Correctional Center on an outstanding fugitive warrant to await extradition to Texas.

Atlas is suspected of fatally stabbing 27-year-old Tracy Anderson and her unborn child in Bedford.
