Man Wanted for Attempted Murder

Caddo sheriff's deputies are looking for the man they suspect pistol-whipped his ex-girlfriend at her apartment on Roy Road early this morning. They have an arrest warrant for 23-year-old Derrick Thomas for attempted first-degree murder, aggravated burglary, and aggravated second-degree battery. Detectives say Meosha Johnson, her 16-month-old baby and her friend Roger Fizer, Jr., were all at her apartment this morning. When Fizer opened the door to leave, Thomas allegedly forced his way inside with a gun. He swung it at Fizer and it discharged, grazing Fizer's head...then he repeatedly beat Johnson in the face and head with the gun. Fizer refused treatment, but Johnson was taken to LSU Hospital for treatment. If you know where Thomas can be found, contact sheriff's deputies.
