Man Jailed for Murder Faces Additional Charges
A Shreveport man already behind bars for murder has now been linked to the attempted armed robbery of a local couple in early July.
Police say 23-year-old Jakarris Harper is currently housed at Caddo Correctional Center in connection with the murder of 23-year-old Ricardo Anderson, who was found dead in the 2900 block of Curtis Lane.
Harper is now charged with attempted armed robbery and illegal use of a weapon for his involvement in trying to rob a couple sitting in a car outside a doctor's office in the 8600 block of Fern Avenue. The man and woman were shot at, but weren't wounded.
Police have already arrested 18-year-old LaRaylon Cawthorne, who suffered a gunshot wound during the incident, along with 19-year-old Namia Harris and 17-year-old Zamar Tucker. Harris and Tucker were picked up at an apartment in the 1900 block of Patzman Street on July 8. They're each charged with attempted armed robbery.
