Major Power Outages Hit Caddo and Bossier

Storms swept through the ArkLaTex Thursday evening causing major power outages in both Shreveport and Bossier City.

As of 9:30pm, SWEPCO reported more than 7,000 folks across Caddo were in the dark, while across the river, over 1,700 were powerless.

Shreveport neighborhoods all or partially in the dark included Broadmoor, Highland and South Highland, and the Shreve City area. Isolated outages were also reported in the southeast Shreveport

SWEPCO emergency crews are working to restore electricity to affected areas.
