The LSU football program introduced their new offensive and passing game coordinators to the Tiger Nation yesterday.

Both coaches are coming to Baton Rouge via the Carolina Panthers organization from the NFL. Jake Peetz will be the Tigers' new offensive coordinator and DJ Mangus will now be the new passing game coordinator. Peetz brings ten years of NFL coaching experience to the table for LSU.

Talking about his new offense, Peetz said:

We have great playmakers here and that’s our job as coaches and that’s my job as the offensive coordinator, to make sure those young men are prepared and that they’re on the field to attack the defense.

Both new coaches worked closely with former LSU coach and current Carolina Panthers Offensive Coordinator Joe Brady last season. DJ Mangus also worked closely with Joe Brady during the Tigers' championship run in 2019 when he was on the LSU staff.

Mangus said this about his return to the program:

I’m beyond fired up to be back. A program like LSU and a program that was capable and is capable of doing what we did in 2019. And an offense that’s capable of scoring like we did. It’s an opportunity I couldn’t say no to. And I’m beyond excited to be here.

Peetz replaces Steve Ensminger as offensive coordinator and Mangas takes over for Scott Linehan as passing game coordinator.
