LSU Quarterback Myles Brennan Helps Set Up COVID Charity
The next in line for LSU's starting quarterback job, Myles Brennan, has taken his new leadership position seriously. Not just a leadership role on a football team, but a leadership role in a state who loves their college football.
While the state is working through the COVID-19 outbreak, Brennan has stepped up to help start a COVID based charity. The proceeds of the charity will be donated to the Ochsner Clinical Foundation, and will be done in the name of the Bobby Hebert Sr, the father of New Orleans Saints legend Bobby Hebert Jr, and former LSU lineman T-Bob Hebert.
Brennan is taking the lead in a visible way in the state, which is something pretty impressive based on where Brennan is in his LSU career.
For the last few seasons, Brennan has been a backup quarterback, after being a highly recruited high school star. He has sat behind Danny Etling and Joe Burrow, but now has a path to the starting job. Brennan had chances to leave the school when former Coach Les Miles was leaving, but stayed. He could have transferred and ran to another program to have a chance to start, but he stayed.
The fact that Brennan stayed through all of the changes and adversity at LSU should have already indicated to us that he's going to be a leader. But stepping up in the time of need across the state has solidified that.
