LSU Merchandise Flying Off Shelves at Tiger Island

If it's purple and gold, it's selling like hotcakes right now at Tiger Island inside Reeves Marine in Bossier City.  With LSU sitting atop the BCS rankings with a perfect 13-0 record, and Christmas just a little over a week away, anything LSU-related is in demand.  But Rodney Reeves says the hottest-selling items, by far, are tee shirts and other items related to Defensive Back Tyrann Mathieu -- better known as the Honey Badger.  And he's quick to point out that Tiger Island is only selling authorized Honey Badger merchandise.  Reeves says other hot-selling items are Tiger-themed wireless computer keyboards and cowgirl boots as well as pictures and picture frames, belts, house shoes, caps, jerseys, and even stuff for toddlers.  And he says, if you really want one, they'll even get you a purple and gold boat.

But it's not just pre-Christmas and pre-BCS Championship game items that are in big demand.  Reeves says he's already pre-ordered thousands of BCS Championship items that will go into production if (or rather, as soon as) LSU wins the championship game on January 9th and will be available for sale a day or two later.
