What Games Will LSU Tigers Win in 2024?

SHREVEPORT, LA – We are only a few weeks away from the start of football season. I am already gearing up for another great year for the LSU Tigers. This will be the 3^rd year for coach Brian Kelly and I am very optimistic that we will begin to see the fruits of his recruiting prowess this season.

But the SEC preseason media poll projects LSU to finish 5^th in the conference standings this year. I really hope that’s not accurate.

Georgia, Texas, Alabama and Ole Miss are ahead of LSU on this list.

Things are changing dramatically in the SEC this year. We will no longer have divisions. The top 2 teams in the conference overall will advance to the SEC Championship game. You also should know that the SEC now has 16 teams with Texas and Oklahoma joining the ranks of this dynamic powerhouse conference.

My prediction for the 2024 season is a 10-2 season and a pretty good bowl spot. But I don't think we will contend for a national championship. Both losses will come in tough SEC contests.

What Games Will LSU Win This Year?

Week 1 Sunday September 1

LSU travels to Las Vegas to take on the USC Trojans. This is a WIN for the Tigers.

Week 2 Saturday September 7

Home opener for the Tigers against Nichols State. This is a WIN for the Tigers.

Week 3 Saturday September 14

The Tigers hit the road to open SEC play at South Carolina. We get another WIN to roll into the heart of the season.

Week 4 Saturday September 21

The UCLA Bruins visit Tiger Stadium and get trounced by the Tigers. WIN for LSU.

Week 5 Saturday September 28

South Alabama Jaguars come to town to take on the Tigers and this is another WIN for LSU.

Week 6 Saturday October 5

BYE week

Week 7 Saturday October 12

The Ole Miss Rebels come to Baton Rouge and this will be a revenge game after last year’s loss. The Tigers WIN this SEC matchup.

Week 8 Saturday October 19

The Tigers travel to Arkansas and get another SEC WIN for the 2024 season.

Week 9 Saturday October 26

On the road at Kyle Field in Texas, the Tigers stumble and LOSE to the Texas A & M Aggies.

The Alabama Crimson Tide roll into Tiger Stadium and get a high profile win. This is a LOSS for the Tigers.

Week 10 Saturday November 16

The Tigers bounce back with a win over the Florida Gators on the road at Gainesville. Big WIN for the Tigers.

Week 11 Saturday November 23

Vanderbilt visits Tiger Stadium and LSU gets another WIN.

Week 12 Saturday November 30

The Oklahoma Sooners make their first visit to Tiger Stadium as part of the SEC and the Bayou Bengals hold on to get a big win in this new rivalry. WIN for LSU.

I predicted LSU would lose only one game in 2023, but that was a bit off. The Tigers lost to Florida State to open the season and also had losses to Ole Miss and Alabama in SEC play. The Tigers finished with a 10-3 record and 12^th in the final AP College Football poll.
