It's been an up and down season for the LSU Tigers Baseball team in 2018. Expectations weren't as high as they were last year, but after some flashes of brilliance, and some weeks spent ranked, those expectations started to grown.

However the team struggled to keep the success up for the whole season. Maybe there was no better example than this past weekend at Auburn. The team got housed on in the opening game, but was able to come back and beat Auburn's ace Casey Mize, who's likely to be the #1 pick in the MLB Draft.

Now that they've finished their regular season resume, it's time to make their case for the NCAA Tournament inside the SEC Tournament.

LSU Baseball leaves today for the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama.

The Tigers will face Mississippi State at 4:30 tomorrow afternoon. LSU took two of three from State in the regular season, but the Bulldogs just swept top ranked Florida.

You can hear all of LSU's postseason on 1130 The Tiger, which is 1130AM across Shreveport and Bossier.
