
Shreveport to Participate in Love the Boot Week with Citywide Cleanup Effort
If you are one of the many people who think Shreveport could be a cleaner city, you can help step up to clean things up.
The City of Shreveport is partnering with Shreveport Green and Visit Shreveport Bossier to host a citywide cleanup event as part of Love the Boot Week. This is a statewide initiative from Keep Louisiana Beautiful. The goal is to help reduce litter and beautify communities.
What Is Happening in Shreveport?
On Saturday, the community is hosting “Shreveport Green - City Wide Cleanup 2026,” This will be happening from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the State Fairgrounds.
The Mayor's office sent out this information:
Volunteers from across the community are invited to participate in this effort to remove litter, improve neighborhoods, and support a cleaner, healthier Shreveport.
If you would like to register to participate in this event, you are urged to sign up now and come out Saturday ready to work outdoors. All the supplies and cleanup materials will be provided by Shreveport Green.

Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser has been promoting this event for several months and he is hoping families, friend groups and work groups will get together to be part of this event. This is the state's largest litter removal event.
