An arrest warrant has been issued for a woman in St. Bernard Parish for running an illegal orthodontics practice. 28 year-old  Aireon Davis of Arabi Louisiana is currently wanted for practicing dentistry without a license.
A complaint came after the parents of a 15 year old child claimed that Davis put braces on their child without their consent, then charged them for the work. During the investigation, detectives found that Davis was advertising the dental service on her Instagram account, and running the illegal business out of her apartment in Arabi.
Based on this information, detectives obtained a search warrant for Davis’ apartment. Davis could not be located, but detectives retrieved various dentistry tools and orthodontic supplies from the residence.
According to Louisiana law, no one is allowed to practice dentistry without first being authorized and issued a license by the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry. According to the board, Davis does not have a license to practice dentistry in Louisiana.
The investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Davis, or who has been a victim of Davis unlawfully practicing dentistry on them is asked to contact the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office at (504) 271-2501 or the Criminal Investigations Bureau at (504) 278-7630 or (504) 271-TIPS or 8477.
