A lot of DOTD work is set to begin -- and continue -- today. Here's a list of what we know about so far -- and keep in mind, all of this will be done weather permitting:

Today and tomorrow, the inside and outside shoulders on I-49 mainline and ramps between Kings Highway and Murphy Street are closed. Shoulders on the I-20 and I-49 ramps are also closed for KCS Railroad work.

Until 5 this afternoon, the northbound outside lane of LA 1 at I-49 North is closed for I-49 ramp construction.

From now through 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, the outside westbound lane on W. 70th Street at the Jewella avenue intersection -- and the southbound outside lane of Jewella at the W. 70th intersection -- will be closed for repairs.

The LA 513 bridge over Ten Mile Bayou Relief in DeSoto Parish will be closed for five days for piling repairs. All vehicles need to detour using LA 483, 175, 346 and 513.

LA 514 between LA 788 and US 371 is closed for bridge replacement. It's expected to remain closed for nine months.

Patching of concrete pavement has begun on the four-lane section of US 371 between Cullen and Springhill in Webster Parish. That work will take place during daylight hours with competion scheduled for July 10th.

And continued work from the weekend...the access to Linwood, north of LA 3276, is closed. Access to Linwood south of that highway will remain open. Traffic is being shifted to the new surface at the intersection to allow Linwood north of 3276 to be rebuilt to the new lower elevation. The closure will last about four weeks. Detour signs should be clearly posted.
