Don't be surprised to see some familiar faces on next month's Academy Awards show, especially if "The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore" wins in the "Best Short Film" category. The studio found out today that the film is now one of the top five nominees. Moonbot Studios managing partner Brandon Oldenburg says everyone at the studio couldn't be happier...they're "over the moon," so to speak. He says it's an honor just to be considered an "Oscar Nominee" -- but he is hoping to bring home the big prize. He says without the support of the state and the citizens of Shreveport, he doesn't think this would have been possible. The 84th Academy Awards air live on February 25th on ABC. I, for one, will be tuned in...hope you'll be cheering on our locals, too.
