A wreck in north Bossier City last night sent a woman to the hospital and had part of a busy roadway shut down for hours.

Bossier City spokesman Mark Natale says the woman hit two vehicles at the intersection of Barksdale Boulevard and Westgate Drive, then kept going until she lost control and hit a power pole at Barksdale and Old Minden.  She was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  Officers believe alcohol was a factor in the wreck, and the driver could be looking at a DWI charge, once toxicology test results come back.  She's already been charged with hit and run.  SWEPCO crews worked into the overnight hours to get the damaged power pole replaced.  The 1600 block of Barksdale is back open now.
