A teenager arrested for attempted first degree murder in connection with a home invasion robbery on Rightway Avenue has now been charged with the shooting death of a man in Shreveport's Highland neighborhood.

Delon Williams was shot during what detectives believe was a home invasion robbery at a residence in the 200 block of Prospect Street back on March 14, 2011 and ultimately died as a result of that wound about two months later. Based on forensic evidence recovered at the crime scene as well as other information gathered by investigators, authorities have now charged 17 year old Jacobi Parker, of the 1500 block of Alma Street in Shreveport, with one count of first degree murder. Detectives think Parker and at least one other suspect went to the home on Prospect Street with the intent to rob Williams and subsequently shot him during the commission of that crime.

Parker was arrested last Friday and charged with one count of attempted first degree murder for his alleged role in another home invasion robbery in the 4200 block of Rightway Avenue on March 15, 2011 that left a female victim seriously injured with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Investigators report they anticipate making at least one more arrest in this homicide.
