Lawn Equipment Theft Suspect Caught

Shreveport police detectives have caught up with a man accused of stealing items from outside a business in south Shreveport last month.

A Crime Stoppers tip linked 52-year-old Martin Durrett of Haughton to the crime. Detectives say Durrett drove up to the front of the Lowe's store in the 7300 block of Youree Drive in a white pick-up truck and stole two pieces of lawn equipment.

Durrett was located this morning at his home in the 100 block of Buccaneer Lane in Haughton. He was booked into the Bossier Parish prison, then transported to Caddo Correctional Center. He was booked on a warrant charging him with one count of felony theft.
