Late Night Shreveport Shooting Leaves A Man Fighting For His Life
A late night shooting on Tuesday night sent a man to the hospital in critical condition.
The shooting happened in Shreveport's Cedar Grove neighborhood just after 10pm on May 17th. Police say the shooting took place outside of a home in the 6200 block of Southern Avenue, at East 61st Street.
The victim was found at the scene, and was rushed to the hospital. Police also discovered that multiple cars in the area had been struck by gunfire, and multiple shell casings were found at the scene.
Reports indicate that Shreveport Police had initially dispatched 5 units to the scene on Southern Avenue, but later escalated that with an additional 13 units to the area between East 61st Street and East 63rd Street.
Police have not released any information regarding a suspect at this time. But they have reportedly identified multiple witnesses that they intend to interview.
