"We're gonna have plenty of officers out there, not just on the parade route, but also at adjoining intersections," Goodin says.  "So, for instance, intersections like Youree and Stoner, East Kings and Youree, some of the streets that run from Broadmoor."

As for road closures, expect the usual suspects.  "Clyde Fant Parkway is actually gonna close down this evening, until 7 o'clock in the morning," Goodin says.  "Then at about 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, we'll begin closing down streets there in Broadmoor, as well as Clyde Fant Parkway."  And, of course, all of Shreveport-Barksdale Highway will be shut down during the parade.

Goodin says your safety will be kept top-of-mind with police.  He reminds locals and out-of-town visitors that the 21-and-up alcohol policy will be enforced.

We also discussed parking and when you can claim your spot for the parade.  Listen to my entire interview with Sgt. Goodin here:
