A threat at Keithville Elementary/Middle School was put on lockdown early Monday morning (8/26/24).

According to reports a call was made to police about an active shooter situation at the school. When Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office arrived on scene, they began an investigation. After interviews with several who were present at the school, it was determined that there was no shooter, or threat of any kind.

The lockdown has been lifted, and Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is working on finding out where the call came from.

Caddo Sheriff Henry Whitehorn spoke with KEEL News, saying:

"I just left the location, and it's all secure... There was no active shooter."

This incident is still under investigation, and no more information is available. This article will be updated as more information is forthcoming.
