Multiple Arrests in Joint Law Enforcement Operation at Shreveport Apartment Complex
Law Enforcement Cracks Down at Lifestyle Apartments
In a concerted effort to combat rising crime, the Shreveport Police Department, working alongside the Shreveport City Marshal’s Office, recently executed a targeted operation at the Lifestyle Apartments on Lakeshore Drive. This action was a direct response to a recent homicide and the shooting of two juveniles in the area, aiming to restore safety and order to the community.
The joint operation proved successful, leading to multiple arrests and the seizure of illegal contraband. A significant finding was that most individuals apprehended were not residents of the apartment complex and were not listed on any leases, suggesting a transient element contributing to the area's issues.
Arrests Made During Operation
Among those arrested were several individuals with active warrants for various offenses:
Jason Harris, born June 13, 1994, faces serious charges including possession of multiple narcotics, illegal carrying of a weapon with narcotics, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Zohuri Edwards, born April 11, 1997, was arrested on a Caddo Parish warrant for marijuana possession and intent to distribute. (No mugshot provided)
James Merrit, born April 11, 1973, was wanted on a Caddo Parish warrant for illegal use of a weapon and a Shreveport City Marshal warrant for resisting an officer.
Joycelyn Johnson (June 23, 1995) (No mugshot provided)
Micheal Casey (July 19, 1989)
Sharon Coleman (September 22, 1972)
Vincent Hendricks (October 1, 1994), all for Shreveport City Marshal traffic warrants.
