Back in November, the New Orleans Saints fired Head Coach Dennis Allen. To put it bluntly, Allen is a good Defensive Coordinator but not a great head coach. Under Allen's leadership, the Saints were an unimpressive 18-25, including a 2-7 start this season.

So, the big question now is who will be leading the Saints in 2025. Now that the regular season is officially over, the search for the next leader of the New Orleans Saints is underway.

Who Could Be The Next Head Coach in New Orleans?

There are a LOT of options out there for the New Orleans Saints. I'm sure they've been thinking about this since letting go of Allen back in November. And, according to several reports online, the Saints already have a long list of coaches & coordinators that they want to interview.

Below are some of the names being floated around online, including former LSU National Championship winning coach Joe Brady and Saints legend Drew Brees:

Joe Brady, Bills OC
Kellen Moore, Eagles OC
Drew Brees, Former Saints
Bobby Slowik, Texans OC
David Shaw, Former Stanford HC
Anthony Weaver, Dolphins DC
Aaron Glenn, Lions DC
Mike McCarthy, Cowboys HC
Kliff Kingsbury, Commanders OC

As noted above, there are some names confirmed to be on the Saints request list. Others are just internet rumors floating around X. But as the old saying goes, where there's smoke, there's probably fire.

Right now, the one name flying all over the internet and the betting favorite according to Vegas is for Bills Offensive Coordinator and National Championship winning coach with LSU Joe Brady. Brady helped orchestrate the dominating & unstoppable Joe Burrow led offense in 2019. In fact, that offense is widely considered the most unstoppable offense in college football history. Brady is the man that helped put that together. Most recently, he's been the mastermind Josh Allen & the Buffalo Bills beating up on defenses weekly.

Brady knows the area, he's already won one championship in the building, he knows how to design offenses that can get the most out of his players. It just seems to be a dream pairing.

Beyond Brady, former Saints legend Drew Brees is one of the favorites along with former Cowboys OC & current Eagles OC Kellen Moore. Below are the full list of betting odds according to Bookies.com:

Joe Brady, Bills OC | +400 (20.0%)
Kellen Moore, Eagles OC | +525 (16.0%)
Drew Brees, Former Saints | +600 (14.3%)

David Shaw, Former Stanford HC | +750 (11.8%)

Aaron Glenn, Lions DC | +1000 (10.0%)
Mike McCarthy, Cowboys HC | +1000 (10.0%)
Kliff Kingsbury, Commanders HC | +1100 (8.3%)
The Field | +1500 (6.3%)
