One Caddo Parish school is shutting down early today. Schools spokesman Victor Maniero tells us the electricity is out at Jack P. Timmons Elementary, and school officials are concerned about the heat.

So they're sending students home early. Parents have already been notified of the situation, and many of them have already come to get their children.

Busses are taking the kids to their houses, making sure someone is there to meet them before dropping the kids off. If students aren't able to be left at home, they'll be taken back to the school, and will need to be picked up there.
