This Saturday night, the proud tradition of professional wrestling continues in the Shreveport and Bossier City area. Back in the 1980s, Mid South Wrestling called Shreveport home. This was a golden era for pro wrestling, and the promotion ran the majority of their shows in Shreveport, and filmed a lot of their content at local TV stations. It was Shreveport's promotion, and it ruled.

During the 1990s and early 2000s, Shreveport and Bossier were mainstays for WWE and WCW. From national TV broadcasts to live house shows, both promotions played off the long term passion for pro wrestling here.

But its been more than 10 years since the area has had national televised wrestling here. Now that is set to change this weekend. As All Elite Wrestling (AEW) brings their nationally televised Collison show to Bossier City...

AEW is the fastest growing professional wrestling company in history. They feature legendary names on their roster like Sting, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, The Hardy Boyz, Samoa Joe, and more. In fact, if Sting appears Saturday, this will be one of his final stops before his upcoming retirement...which would be a big deal for Shreveport-Bossier.

We say "if" he appears, because just days away, we're not really sure who will appear for AEW on Saturday. Well, except for one REALLY big match.

Last week, AEW announced that FTR and Daniel Garcia will take on The House of Black in a cage match in Bossier City...

So which other AEW stars might we see in Bossier City? Here are some ideas:

Adam Copeland (FKA Edge)

Toni Storm

Christian Cage

Orange Cassidy

Adam Cole

Hangman Adam Page

Bullet Club

Andrade El Idolo

Darby Allin

Eddie Kingston

The Hardys

Ricky Starks

The Young Bucks

Samoa Joe

Sting
