The Weather is About to Plummet in the Ark-La-Tex.

Are you ready for the big drop in temperature? Every couple of years the Ark-La-Tex will get some snow. But, overall, we don't have a lot of winter concerns so when we hear that a blast of arctic weather has the Ark-La-Tex in its sights we have to prepare. We are expecting this weather late into the weekend, and most of the predictions have settled on some form of arctic weather.

Now Is the Time to Fill Your Gas Tank.

Don't let your gas tank be less than half full to help prevent the tank from freezing and while you are at it make sure your car has plenty of anti-freeze and that all four tires are fully aired up.

Do You Have a Winter Survival Kit Inside Your Vehicle?

Ensure you keep blankets, a coat, gloves, water, snacks, jumper cables, boots, and a shovel. The goal is to have stuff to keep you warm in your vehicle. If worse comes to worst you can get mobile and not be on the struggle bus.

Holy Missions: 1054 Texas Will open as a 24-hour cold weather shelter on Friday, January 12th at 6pm till January 20th. Meals will be provided.
Shreveport Bossier Rescue Mission 901 McNeil St.
Presently is doing a 24-hour intake with 3 meals daily. State ID is required.
