Shreveport's Louisiana Grandstand was jam packed eager and ready for hometown hero Jordan Davis to take the stage. Even though the show was not announced until Thursday at 1:00 p.m. the show sold out in minutes, a testament to Shreveport's fervent support, and the resulting "sea of excited people" confirmed it was truly one for the books.

Jordan Davis electrified the stage and surprised the crowd by bringing out both Mus Gillum and his brother, Jacob Davis, for an unforgettable hometown reunion. Jordan Davis had just released his new single "Jesus Wouldn't Do" which he co-wrote with his brother Jacob. Jordan also played songs that he had never performed before with his band. Davis also leaked that he has a song called "Louisiana Sticks" with the king of guitar solos, Marcus King, who has also played at the Louisiana Grandstand.

Jordan Davis left Shreveport and got to work; his debut album, Home State, earned him three consecutive number one hits: "Slow Dance in a Parking Lot," "Take It From Me," and "Singles You Up". Not long after, he teamed up with Luke Bryan for "Buy Dirt," and he took over the national spotlight.

Before attending a concert at the Louisiana Grandstand in Shreveport, I had no idea that this historic 1925 building had once been and still is a hub for live music. Steeped in rich musical history, the venue is a testament to Shreveport’s vibrant cultural past. Today, the dedicated team at Louisiana Grandstand is committed to preserving that legacy while continuing to create unforgettable live music experiences for generations to come. I have seen some epic artists perform in this wonderful venue, Sarah Evans, The Steelwoods, Zach Top, Kix Brooks, and a local favorite Mus Gillum. This venue has provided some of the most epic live music experiences for me, and Jordan Davis has just added to the legendary lineup.
